The MitonOptimal EasyETFs SA Protected Equity Actively Managed ETF is an actively managed ETF listed on the JSE. Its objective is long-term capital growth, with a risk-return profile similar to the overall South African equity market, while using protective financial instruments to limit downside. The fund gets its core equity exposure through FTSE/JSE Top 40 index futures, combined with an options collar: long protective puts financed by short calls. It also holds selected direct JSE equities, each with its own collar, plus money market and bond funds that back the futures exposure and manage liquidity. It invests in South Africa only. It is classified as South African Multi-Asset Flexible on an effective-exposure basis.
